  • Iconic palace architecture and interiors, especially the Hall of Mirrors, with rich historical significance.
  • Beautiful and expansive grounds including meticulously manicured gardens, fountains, the Orangerie, and the Grand Canal; options to explore via golf cart or bike.
  • Practical planning tools enhance the visit, such as skip-the-line tickets and a helpful audio guide.
  • For the Place Versailles mall aspect, a large, transit-friendly space with a mix of small businesses and big-box stores, plus art and fountains inside.
  • Family-friendly attractions and seasonal touches (indoor petting zoo, Santa village, and live reindeer) add a unique, enjoyable element for kids and visitors alike.

⚠️Reasons You Might Not Love It

  • Crowds can be heavy at the Palace; even with skip-the-line options, lines and crowds are a factor.
  • Some visitors may find certain areas overwhelming or require substantial walking to cover highlights.
  • In the mall portion, some sections feel dated with low ceilings, while newer sections have more brand-name stores.
  • Food options in the mall can be limited, with a smaller food court that may not satisfy all tastes.
  • Overall mall atmosphere may skew neighbourhood-focused rather than high-end destination shopping, depending on expectations.

Unique Perks & Differentiators

  • Expansive gardens with water features (Grand Canal, fountains) and the option to rent a golf cart or bike for easier touring.
  • Seasonal family attractions such as an indoor petting zoo and a Santa village with live reindeer provide a distinctive, family-friendly experience.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles in 2023 was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer grandeur and history of this iconic landmark. The Hall of Mirrors was a true highlight—walking through the dazzling hall with its shimmering chandeliers and intricate details felt like stepping back in time. Every room in the palace was stunning, with ornate ceilings, lavish furnishings, and breathtaking artwork that showcased the opulence of French royalty. The gardens were just as impressive, stretching endlessly with beautifully manicured landscapes, fountains, and sculptures. Taking a stroll through the Orangerie and Grand Canal was a peaceful yet awe-inspiring experience. I highly recommend renting a golf cart or bike to explore the vast grounds more comfortably. While the palace can get crowded, booking skip-the-line tickets in advance made the visit much smoother. The audio guide was also incredibly helpful in understanding the rich history behind each room. Overall, the Palace of Versailles is a must-visit for anyone traveling to France. Its beauty, history, and grandeur make it a truly magical experience that I would love to relive!

This is probably one of the most underrated malls in the city. It is very easily accessible to metro Radisson as well as a bus terminal attached to the station. When I went inside, I was surprised on how large it is inside, it has a mixture of small business and big box chain stores/restaurants and it has some really nice artwork and fountains you can find inside. But I feel this is more a neighborhood type mall with most of the clientele being from around the area.

This mall is fine but far from my favourite/ large portions of the mall have low ceilings so it feels dated and claustrophobic/ the stores in that section feel sometimes a bit dated …the newer section have high ceiling and more brand names stores. The food court is quite small …

One of the malls in Montreal that’s not only entertaining for the typical shopping and eating, but also for having their indoor version of a petting zoo every once in a while. There’s already a pet store inside the shopping mall but this, is a bonus!

Surprisingly large mall with lots of affordable shops to browse through. Highlights include Winners, Canadian Tire and Maxi. Not a ton of food options but everything else you might need you could find here and conveniently located right beside the metro. Ps..for the young ones, a fantastic Santa village and live reindeer’s to feed for the holiday season!
