The quality here comes and goes. We've had really good meals, and meals we wouldn't bother to finish. This last experience was great service, but terrible Lodge burgers. They were dry, flavorless and the onion ring was tough and chewy. How do you do that to an onion ring??? Our waitress was great though. Very attentive, cheerful and willing to be helpful. I grew up on Mr. Mike's, the initial incarnation. Salad bar, Mike burgers, a simpler setup overall. These new stores seem like they are trying to be 'Keg'-like. The people that work there seem to be decent, but the upscale atmosphere and the food don't align well, at least with our experiences. I think more effort needs to go into the menu.

Picking up coolers for a friend and was asked immediately if I required help finding what I need (which I did ) but store was out of this particular brand I was asked to pick up. However, the clerk on duty offed other choices - very knowledgeable and not pushy by any means. Short-stocked on most things due to a strike of the workers who transport the liquor from the mainland to beer stores etc.

I remembered Mr. Mikes as a kid ... really wanted to go. It was about 8pm, they didn't close for another 2 hrs. When we first walked in we got greeted with "we'll be right with you!" That was great.then the next waitress, had blue streaks in her blonde hair, pretty funky. She states "we're not taking any more walk ins" I was so irritated and upset. There was many empty tables and 2 hrs before closing time.

Beverly corners is a well-kept strip mall. Among other things there is a medical clinic, liquor store, and of course Thrifty Foods. There is ample parking, but traversing to a parking spot can be a bit precocious.. just be safe.
