It's a memorable shadow of its former self. I used to go here as a child and it really was magical every visit. Even more if it was a holiday. Now it's....almost perpendicularly grey in presentation and atmosphere. What's there reminds you of what was, but that's it. It's good to see patrons gathering for their coffee and musings, we got a security complement protecting whatever remains, but as far as any prosperous or grand experience, that's been long lost. You can tell.

I used to stay in SSM. This is the convenient place to shop and have fun. I have lots of memories here. Recently I visited SSM and went to do some shopping. I found what I wanted.

The mall is very quiet. Many of the good stores are closed, leaving a mall full of cell phone stores and a dollar store with a security guard that follows you so close he might as well carry your bags. Maybe one day a few good stores will return to the mall and maybe some good food.

It’s gotten a lot better in the last couple years and I hope they expand to make it more enjoyable. Loitering is the biggest issue especially during this time. Hope security can deal with it and dealing with the ones who are there everyday taking up spots and curing and swearing around young children.

Station mall is the mall in this town where you’ll find most things you’re looking for and the most popular one. There’s the cinema & where you can get most clothing you require. The most consistent shopping experience you’d expect from a mall. There’s ample parking surrounding it and many entrances as well. It has become less frequented- Covid did a number on in person retail and a lot of store shut down, not reopening. There’s some newer additions that are nice and some staples. You’ll find a sports store & some fairly modern fashion brands. There’s a book store, kitchen store and linen place. Games & music/movie stores and a salon. The food court is pretty decent- local pizza joint and some chain places grace it. Decent seating as well. It’s fairly well maintained and has two main large restrooms that are easy to locate with signage. It seems they’ve implemented security measures as when I came the other day I noticed a few security guards wandering the mall and perimeter. It backs onto the boardwalk and the locks which is a nice scene despite the deteriorating conditions regarding the unhoused & drugs/addictions. I still come here when I need something and want to get out. The prices are consistent with the chains they’re attached to. Malls aren’t what they used to be but it’s the best option if you’re needing something in the area.
