'Barrie By The Bay' is intolerant towards members of the LGBTQ+ Community and individuals suffering from substance abuse disorders; and are actively discriminating against these groups. 'The Gilbert Centre' is a non - profit community based organization who specialize in a variety of harm reduction services, ranging from gender affirming care to providing drop in services for drug addicts. They also provide a safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to meet and interact with one another. 'Barrie By The Bay' is demanding that 'The Gilbert Centre' require their participants to only access their services via the side entrance at the left side of the building. To put it in more blunt terms. 'Barrie By The Bay' are seeking to segregate Queer people and drug addicts from accessing the main doors of their facility. People who are among the highest at risk for discrimination. Security regularly harrasses 'The Gilbert Centre' over the most insignificant of issues They've even attempted to wrongfully evict 'The Gilbert Centre' for dubious reasons. Of which were 'in violation' of the terms of their lease. 'Barrie By The Bay' is actively violating 'Bill - C16' as well as the Canadian 'Charter Of Rights And Freedoms' of those who run 'The Gilbert Centre' as well as those who use their services. (Disclaimer: The views and/or opinions expressed within this review are of that of a Gilbert Centre participant, as well as a concerned citizen. I am not associated within any organizational affairs, nor are my thoughts condoned by 'The Gilbert Centre.')

Atrocious. Purely bad business, clearly mixing politics with their business and personal beliefs with business. Would NOT recommend (unless you also enjoy messing with people's human rights and support genocide)

Apparently parking in the first row of spaces (closest to the building) is paid parking and while it is indicated by pavement markings they do not plow or salt the snow sufficiently enough to allow you to see those spaces are different. Insanely inane. Ended up getting trapped by double parked vehicles because again... The parking is by no means clear and just seems to be a free for all of people trying to avoid a ticket. If you are able to solve the parking you will surely be in for a treat as you negotiate the maze of tiny hallways that awaits you inside the doors. Complete and utter disaster from start to finish.
