It is a small shopping center, But there are also various types of shops and restaurants.

A very clean busy little downtown centre. There is a grocery store, hardware store, book store, flower shop, liquor store, cannabis store, post office, bakery, restaurant, pharmacy, gas station, insurance office and a clothing boutique (sorry if I missed anyone). As Pender is a isolated island with limited emergency / health care facilities please use caution while biking / hiking etc. Also masks 😷 are required / recommended for all places and honestly the locals would prefer we all wear them. A small outbreak of Covid would devastate the island!!

Always a pleasure to visit the commercial 'hub' of the island. The local grocery store is handy, along with the pharmacy, post office, fabulous bakery, incredible eats at Jo's, and it is always a treat to browse through Island Girls Boutique to check out fun finds for clothes or a special piece of handcrafted jewellery. My favourite though is still grabbing a coffee and sitting outside, and taking in the sights and sounds. Definitely a taste of simpler times!
