Hudson's Bay

Me and my wife have noticed a slow declining of the Bay Centre over the years. The escalator has not been repaired for years already and to get on the second floor you have to search for an elevator or a staircase which is a sort of a game Escape the first floor to get on the second one. At least they fixed the escalator going down. I also noticed that when I was on the first floor the smell coming from the outdated carpets reminded me of an old museum. The collection is also slowly degrading and the choice is getting poorer. I like The Bay Cenre because it gives something special in Victoria. You can always buy something unique and different, but what I have mentioned above makes the store less inviting.

I had found an item upstairs with no tag or barcode of any sort, I took it to a lovely worker to ask for the price which she was able to find within a minute. Shopped around more and went to checkout at the lingerie till. I had Edna and Jane, Edna who ran upstairs to look for more but I had said it was the last one, she came back and looked on the iPad for 10 seconds before her and Jane insisted they could not find it. Their escalators and elevator was out and Jane had forced me to walk back upstairs to the worker who was somehow able to find it instead of being able to contact her herself and got mad at me for not "buying it upstairs". Was not impressed do better.

I visited this store yesterday to explore perfumes as a potential gift. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The selection was extremely limited—almost empty shelves with hardly anything to browse. There were no testers available, so I had to track down a salesperson just to try a fragrance. Finding assistance took far too long, and when we finally did, the staff member seemed uninterested and annoyed by our questions. Overall, a very unpleasant experience

Went to buy a dress today, last one in my size. Beautiful dress, had a weird bunch of stitching on the front hem and a wonky rippled back zipper. Staff tried to cut the front threads and tell me there was nothing wrong. Would not get a manager. Had to buy it anyways due to time constraints and do the zipper repair myself…the staff did not offer a discount and were not very accommodating. The cost for this repair is almost half of the dress cost.

Love Hudson's Bay. ❤️ I went in there looking for something in particular but they didn't have it. It was Cologne for men called Bad boy, #bad boy Instead of just leaving I bought a woman's perfume called Fame, #fame. It is a very sweet smell. I have always bought all my colognes and perfumes from the Bay for many years.. They usually have the biggest and best selection and have what you're looking for. I'd have to say I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the kind I wanted this time.
